About Me 

My name is Kellymarie and I have been a practitioner of Yoga for close to 10 years.

I am extremely grateful and passionate to share my love of the Yoga practice.

I truly believe Yoga is a beautiful tradition for both body and mind, and it can greatly enrich your life, both on and off the mat.

I stand by my belief that movement is most definitely medicine, and Yoga is an incredible tool to help us cope with the stresses of everyday life and difficult situations that life may present us with.

It really is a mind, body, soul practice.

I fell in love with Yoga during a dark period of my life. I had been suffering with anxiety and bouts of depression. I had trouble sleeping, eating , socialising and it was almost as if the practice of yoga had taken me under its wing. Slowly, with dedication to my practice, guided by a wonderful, understanding teacher, I began to feel better. My thoughts became my friends again , my body became stronger, my breathing better. I am forever grateful to have stumbled upon it.

Fast forward to 10 years later, I am now a Yoga Alliance certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher.

I initially completed my 200 hour Yoga teacher training with the amazing Kathryn Moynihan and Nikki Cousins in Yoga Loft Cork. Two incredible senior teachers here in Ireland with the utmost love, respect and knowledge for the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice. I consider myself extremely lucky to have been a part of this teacher training program.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga has given me a strong, stable, healthy body. This energetic style of Yoga has always been my go to.

I love to practice and teach the strengthening and grounding postures of the Ashtanga Primary series in a Vinyasa Flow style.

I love both the discipline and the grounding and strengthening aspects of the Ashtanga practice combined with the freedom and fluidity of a Vinyasa style practice; binding breath with movement. Allowing space for creativity for the student and exploration of movement.

I am also certified to teach Yin Yoga.

In 2019 I went on to study Yin Yoga, and completed my 30hr teacher training with Grace Tempany of DubYin Yoga.

Grace, to me, is a real OG in the Yin Yoga world having completed her own training and studies under the most influential Yin Yoga Teachers to date; Bernie Clarke, Sarah Powers and Josh Summers.

As of March 2021 I plan to advance in my own Yin Yoga studies and teaching.

I will be attending an online Level 2 training with Grace.

Yin Yoga has been a very introspective and rewarding practice for me.

Yin Yoga has taught me to slow down, go inward, it’s a truly magical practice.

It can offer you peace and quiet, time and space to process thoughts, emotions, feelings.

I strongly consider Yoga Philosophy as an integral part of the practice and imply the theories as best I can as part of my classes.

My main message; Yoga is for absolutely EVERY-BODY!
